Rain Soft water treatment from Home Depot…do you like it?
A salesman from Home Depot came out to our house last night to do the “free water test”. At first we said the only reason we wanted him to come was for the free $20 gift card. But after he presented the Rain Soft system and showed us the disgusting stuff in our tap water, we ended up buying package “B” with the top notch water treatment system and the under sink reverse osmosis filter. It cost us $6,990, but it will pay for itself fast, and I won’t have to buy anymore bottled water. I also won’t have to buy anymore laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, etc. for 5 yrs. b/c they throw in a 5 yr supply of the Rain Soft brand products. And they smell amazing!! I couldn’t believe it! The installers are coming today. Do you have the Rain Soft treatment system? Do you like it? Is maintenance a big deal? Ours includes the computerized flushing system on the outdoor filters, supposed to be top notch. Tell me about yours!

I looked at HD’s, listened to the hip, but had done enough research to know I could do better elsewhere. I had a local water treatment company come out, did the analysis and install a system. My total cost was $1600; we add salt about every two months. It has been fantastic and we seen immediate results. The flush happens sometime in the middle of the night into a drywell they installed - it was quick, very neat, and by price comparisons - very reasonable.
