Except Frankie …
Except Frankie Boyle probably wouldn’t work that well - he’s just good at doing ironically offensive quips.

Of course he knows …
Of course he knows what “heavy metal” is. It’s Clive bloody Anderson. He was just being a tad sarcastic as usual. And regarding Hendrix being a rhythm and blues guitarist- he was rather spot on actually.Hendrix was never labelled as a “heavy metal” guitarist, he was basically a hard rock guitarist whose music revovlved around blues. He was clearly influenced by guitarists such as Buddy Guy,Muddy Waters,Albert King,Steve Cooper nd other rhythm and blues and soul guitarists which he admitted himself.

I like how Clive apparently doesn’t know what Heavy Metal is (in another show he thought Jimi Hendrix was a rhythm and blues artist). Do they not call it Heavy Metal in the UK or is Clive just um… not very hip?
